We are currently looking for a Junior JavaScript Developers to design and implement client-side applications and engaging user interfaces. You will be working alongside other engineers and developers working on different layers of the web infrastructure.
Responsibilities and Duties:
The work will be carried out in the company’s premises in Larnaca. In hereunder a detailed list describing some of the activities/deliverable of an eProseed Junior JavaScript Developer:
- Interest in creating creative UI/UX design solution
- Develop & maintain new Web UI features using JavaScript
- Build reusable code and libraries based on Javascript, Node.js or Oracle JET.
- Able to understand the requirements and develop a solution
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
- Test and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Develop accurate and concise written documentation
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
Required skills:
- Minimum of 1 year of proven experience as developer
- Strong interest in designing complex, mission-critical and highly secure solutions
- Understanding of J2EE architecture, Web 2.0 and RIA technology
- Understanding of JavaScript, its quirks, and workarounds
- Front-End Web Development experience using JavaScript
- Familiarity with Java, J2EE, maven, REST services, and web-based architectures
- Knowledge and experience in several of the following areas: Node.js, Javascript, jQuery, current Javascript Frameworks, HTML5, CSS, Oracle JET.
- Familiarity with best practices for web usability and interaction design
- Current knowledge of browser capabilities for Chrome, Firefox, IE and Safari
- Knowledge of RESTful / SOA software architectures for Web 2.0
- Understanding of code versioning and continuous integration tools, such as GIT, Jenkins
- Understanding of browser rendering behavior and performance
- Knowledge of agile practices
- Good written and oral communication skills in English
- Ability to work effectively with no or minimal supervision
Desirable skills:
- Ability to work and communicate in an international and multicultural environment;
- Professional approach when dealing with internal and external customers, including clear and concise written and verbal communication skills;
- High degree of initiative, accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail;
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude under stressful circumstances;
